The two-part seminar provides current and practice-relevant content in the field of the security situation in Africa and basic knowledge of safety-conscious project planning and employee deployment to Africa.
Based on this information, you will improve your ability to understand and design requirements for security concepts and modern travel risk management, while also fulfilling the legal duty of care of the project manager and/or sending company. You will also expand your knowledge of marketable options for foreign/travel risk management "instruments".
Security situation and changes in Africa:
• Description of the status quo
• Background of the status quo and developments towards it
• Security actors in Africa
• Common phenomena with safety implications
• Potential consequences for companies; including “side issues” supply chains & compliance
• “Forecast” of developments
Challenges for planners and dispatchers:
• Basic requirements of the duty of care on the part of the planners/senders
• Requirements from third parties (e.g. financiers)
• Role of professional service providers in security design
• ISO 31030 Travel Risk Management as a new “technical standard”
Travel risk management:
• “Instruments” of travel risk management (according to ISO 31030): hotline, apps, travel(ler) tracking, etc.
