With our TRISAVO Risk Map 2026, we offer you guidance in assessing global security risks for travelers.<\/p>

The risk classification is based on assessments of dangers and threats arising from local conditions such as crime, demonstrations\/riots, terrorism and\/or armed conflict.<\/p>

A combination of factors therefore often plays a role in the final classification of countries and regions. Countries and regions where travelers absolutely need in-depth information on country-specific risks before traveling are marked with the signal colors orange and red.\u00a0<\/p>

However, the basic principle is that even in countries with a low risk classification, safety-relevant information is important for travellers and must be adequately provided by the sender in accordance with international best practice.<\/p>

Access to the affected areas is often very limited for travelers and in many of these areas there is no significant government control; security forces are usually not available or hardly available. Travel to such areas should only be undertaken with detailed information about the local situation and thorough preparation.
